Lucy Manning – Summary Profile

Lucy began working with Northpoint in mid-2016, and she provides administrative support for our UK South East office.  She works closely with Chris Cain who is based in this office, and most closely supports his tasks and manages his diary.

Previously Lucy has held a range of field sales, administrative and managerial positions, including working up to being branch manager at Wolseley Group Electrical Centre, where she was responsible for managing long-standing customers accounts to ensure maximum spend on a monthly basis to ensure that targets are exceeded.  She had to source and maintain new accounts to maximise the branch’s sales and also spent some time on the road to meeting existing and or securing new customers.  The role involved advising customers of the best possible products to fulfil their needs effectively and competitively.   Responsibilities included:-

  • Full Management of £1.5 million branch
  • Full budgetary control
  • Source and maintain new customers and manage all aspects of accounts
  • Visiting customers off-site to develop accounts to full capacity
  • Providing computerised quotations for main contractors, both verbally and from detailed drawings and specifications
  • Procurement of branch stock was at an appropriate level
  • Sales and purchase ledger and all other account orientated tasks
  • Arranging delivery logistics
  • Control of refunds and returns
  • Advertising, interviewing, training and inductions of new members of staff
  • HR responsibility for a team of 8
