We understand well chosen business alliances are very powerful
In 1997 Basil O’Fee visited Aberdeen for the first time with his aviation hat on.
He had to understand the sector and find his way to the users of aviation.
There were many twists and turns along the road but the first aviation contract emerged in the summer of 1998 for crew exchanges between Aberdeen and Shannon. The next year more work was secured and in 2000 two contracts were alternated with each other on the same aircraft with crew movements between Aberdeen and Cork and Aberdeen and Stornoway. Donegal featured on the map for three seasons and a Portuguese operator with an ideal aircraft type was sub-contracted in to provide the service.
Further regular work was secured between Aberdeen and Cork on a regular basis over the years and other regular destinations that have featured included Newquay, Sumburgh, Bergen , Stavanger, Bronnoysund, Lista and Vagar in the Faroes.
Time spent serving the sector and the link with Aberdeen and its oil industry often opens up conversations even further afield within the oil industry’s ever expanding reach. The Arctic, Norway, Africa and the central Asian republics have all featured in past and current enquiries.
Our associates would be happy to discuss how we might help in the oil sector.
